Here I am in my Easter bonnet. This is my first one, but I figure you're never too old to try. I was encouraged by some of my water aerobics buddies who are now all sheltering in place. At first, I thought, why not make an Easter bonnet. No one will see me, so why not. But, on second thought, why not share my goofiness. I decided in these stressful times of the pandemic I'd throw in a little light-heartedness.
In case you're wondering... the flowers are from the many beaded flowers Tim and I collected over the years. They're mostly from the early 1900's. I think we have beaded flowers in every room of the house. The ones on my hat are from just one vase. Tim had plans for us to make our own flowers. Although we liked the beaded flowers we collected, we agreed that most of the flowers were not botanically correct. Tim insisted we make botanically correct beaded flowers. Tim bought many packets of beads of different colors, wires and several books on making beaded flowers. All that's stashed away for now. I don't think I have the artistry or the focus that Tim had to pull this off.
I hope you are all staying safe, healthy and sane.
